Have You
ever been so tired that you dreamed of never waking.
so alone that being surrounded by people only compounded the loneliness.
so afraid that you'd trade your life just to remain hidden.
so desperate that anything had to be better than this.
so sad that smiling was painful.
so ashamed that you knew you were worthless.
so weighted down that it hurt to breathe.
so broken that healing seemed a pipe dream.
This is how I feel. It sucks.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes.
But healing is not a pipe dream and you're not worthless. Isaiah 12.
Thank you.
Hi, Stephanie. I clicked over from Shaun Groves' blog. I read your comment and couldn't help but visit your blog and read a few posts. I've struggled with bouts of depression over the years, and I want you to know that nothing is hopeless and that there is help available to you. Getting through it is not always something that you can talk yourself or pray yourself out of. I urge you to talk to someone -- your primary physician to begin with -- and talk about treatment options available to you. Things can be so much better than they are right now for you. They really can.
Whew. I got a little longwinded there, but I want you to know from experience that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes, though, we all need a little help seeing it.
Take care and hang in there.
