It occurs to me this evening that there is not another soul in this world that I would be ok with falling apart in front of.

I have definately been there before. You will be able to become more vulnerable and learn to trust one day, I know it.
It takes time, and it is ok to let yourself trust, it is hard.
That sucks. I hate that you feel alone.
